Somehow I have the feeling that the new beer from Danish contract brewery BeerHere will not go down too well in Germany. I find this too juvenile, but that may just be me getting old and grumpy.
There is a full range of beer and wine with dictators on the labels in Italy. Evan has blogged about them. Maybe that’s a potential market?
I am sure the beer is of excellent quality – it is brewed by one of the stars of the Danish craft beer scene. But I’d be more careful about the packaging.
Beer Here’s already had a rather controversial label for their outstanding Easter brew. Jesus was on the label and they had to change it. I think they may have gone more than a tad too far this time, and I am sure it will be changed.

Viral marketing at its best.
I suspect that this label is a set-up for their forthcoming Mohammed beer.
It had to be the Danes, right?
I love the Danes, they help make the world a more interesting place (especially when they brew great beer).
I agree that this label in bad taste, but thats all. The picture does not glorify Hitler or the Nazi’s in any way. Does depicting Hitler mean that you condone his actions? Does avoiding all depictions of Hitler make the dead come back? No and No. We should all stop being overly sensitive.
Oh, and that is the left arm raised, not the right.
Depicting Hitler is one thing. Using his image on a product that’s for sale is quite another. In essence, using his image to sell something and profit off of it. That’s stupid, offensive and beyond bad taste. By making him a cartoonish beer label, it reduces his crimes to mere “antics” and dehumanizes the victims of his atrocities, regardless of which of his frickin arms are raised. I won’t be drinking any of their beers anytime soon, so i guess that means more for you, those who delight in the imagery.

I’m from the UK – it raised a cheeky smirk but that’s about it.
