Hello Knut,
I enjoy your blog; went to see an old school friend of mine in Arendal last year and had a great time but didn’t find much decent ale but that was before I chanced upon you (via Stonch, of course). I am English, washed-up, and living in Italy. If you would like to have a look at my blog (above) please feel free.
Keep up the good work!

Great beer-blog – amusing and informative. And I like the photos. All good stuff. Thanks for posting.
Knut,
I’ve continued to enjoy your blog. I like the mix of serious beer topics and little personal notes and mentions of particular pubs, etc.
My girlfriend is coming to visit me in the US, from Oslo, at the end of the week. Can you recommend a beer or two she might pick up there, that I can’t get here (like Nogne O). The Vinmonopolet said they have no Swedish beer, such as Närke Kaggen Stormaktsporter, so maybe they don’t have such a good selection? Is there anywhere else to go? I’d be very happy for a Norwegian beer you could recommend. If you like I can send something back over for you, or bring it myself when I visit in May.
Thanks,

Scott, the fact that the Norwegian Vinmonopolet doesn’t carry Närke Kaggen Stormaktsporter doesn’t say much about their selection. You won’t find it at the Swedish counterpart Systembolaget either. Närke Kaggen Stormaktsporter is extremely hard to get hold of, no matter where you are. Getting Westvleteren 12 is a piece of cake compared to that.
Hi Knut!
Interesting blog! Thanks!
I recently made an antenna from a beer can – results were pretty good, so I’ve shred my experience in the blog. Hope you’ll find it interesting.

God dag. Coincidently, I’m learning Norwegian. Very interesting language, and looks more like German, than Russian or English. But until this moment I can’t speak freely. Unfortunately.
Knut-
Do you know ZWICKL BIER?
I am Thomas Zwickel, Chippewa Falls Wisconsin USA.
I would like some ZWICKL stuff for my bar…any ideas?

You mentioned recently that despite having lots of hits, your readers rarely leave comments. Well, here are mine.
I read your blog fairly often and I find it both interesting, education and often amusing. Similar to yourself I also travel a fair amount in Europe, and am always on the look out for a new and interesting waterhole or brew to brighten up my travels. So thanks for all your hints and suggestions.
On a specific note, I am trying to find out the date of the 2009 Norøl juleølfestival usually held at Chateau Neuf in Nov, without success. If you have any news of this could you pls either email me or post it on your blog.
Many thanks
JP
