If you are under the impression that I buy a lot of beer, you are seriously mistaken. This guy, however, has done some serious shopping.
I was told an anecdote on one of my visits to Øbutikken about a Swiss customer who got up at 2 in the morning, drove all the way to copenhagen and filled up his care with more or less the whole inventory. His total bill was even higher. But 6780 Danish kroner is real money. Almost 600 Euros.
Thanks to beerticker.dk for the tip.

I believe I have dropped over $400-500 USD on a single day’s shopping haul (with taxes) to bring back into Canada. But that is because I get one or two chances a year. What is that in Euros?
500 $ would be 400 Euros.
To put this in perspective, you cound go to one of the discount megashops on the Danish-German border and get 1000 decent pilseners for 400 Euros. No Mikkellers, though!
Hadde både AleSmith, Port Brewing, Lost Abbey mfl
I think Ølbutikken could profit form a special setup for large orders. But part of the charm is cramming into this little kiosk on the saturdays at festival time.
Ok, there is a difference between buying beer in a shop and in a pub. But last time I visited Cardinal in Stavanger the bill was just above 1.200,- NOK ($190), the point is that I only bought six beers! Have to say that this is not because Cardinal is expensive compared with other Norwegian pubs; I only purchased some new beers that a smaller Norwegian brewery imports (Lost Abbey etc.). Something is not quite the way it should be.
That is a huge bill, even by Danish standards! According to yahoo finance, 6780 DKK is currently over 911 Euros!
In my quest for the Utopias 2007 I bought a bottle from a beer bar in Gothenburg (this is even illegal). I think I payed almost 450 Euros.
