Well, looking at the rest of the site where this is published, I wouldn’t be too surprised if there are a few inaccuracies here. But on the whole a very useful time line of the history of beer. This would come in handy if I’m asked to a speech about beer.
You’ll find the whole image on Manolith, thanks to Kristine for twittering the tip.

A couple of obvious errors:
“1514 Germany passes the first beer purity law.”
It was Bavaria, not Germany (there was no such country at the time) and there had been earlier beer purity laws.
“1785 The invention of draught beer by Joseph Bramah.”
I’ve no idea what is meant by that, but draught beer had been around for thousands of years.
And Guinness didn’t berew his first Stout in 1759.
When I found this timeline i also noticed that it’s a litte “americanized”, because of the point of view of the last events quoted in the timeline. But it surely is an handy reference for a quick answer on beer history !
