		<description>Don't forget the US wasn't the only country in the world to have a prohibition! The Soviets tried it in their early days, and continued to discourage alcohol consumption after the ban was lifted through propaganda.

None have as bad a record as Iceland, where beer was only legalised in 1992!</description>

		<description>The history of prohibition in the US is fascinating.  It had links to the women's suffrage movement, anti-domestic violence, race/ethnic politics and crazy fringe religious sects.  The mad coalition they put together was an amazing feat, and it evaporated just as soon as the law was passed.  The sad thing is we are still dealing with its aftermath in the form of these puritanical laws and the three tier distribution system.</description>
