Best US Beer Bars

ForbesTraveler has a feature on what they claim are the best beer bars in the United States. I am sure there are other contenders for the title, but their selection does not seem to be off the mark. Nice photos to drool over for the armchair traveller, too. Maybe next year…..
Without Father’s Office in Santa Monica the list seems a little shallow. I know atleast one or two beer nuts that could do a better job.
The best bars I’ve ever been to are the ones that brew their own beer, and it’s right there, on tap, all the time, from ales to stouts.
That’s a nice list. I’ve only been to the Toronado. One omission, though, is the Horse Brass Pub in Portland, OR, which when I visited had 4 cask ales on tap.
The Gingerman in Dallas should be on the list as well.
I do love The Hopleaf in Chicago. I’d add Chicago’s Map Room, as well.
Too much of a coastal bias in my opinion. They always skip flyover country.
