I am not usually handing out any awards, but I would like to point to BrewDog from the windswept Eastern coast of Scotland as the most exciting newcomer in 2007. Daring and inventive, these young lads have lot to live up to in the years to come. Expect to see them in various markets in the New Year.
I’d second that. Brew Dog are definitely newcomers of the year. Although their bottled, stronger beers havew grabbed the most attention (and rightly so) less attention has been given to the session strength cask ales they’ve been quietly producing.
I’m so pleased I got them to send me some bottles. I love the Islay cask Stout.
